We expect another solid quarter of growth for the Irish economy in Q1 2017 when the GDP numbers are released later this morning. However, attention could focus more on the revisions to the full year 2016 numbers. Last year’s revisions saw 2015 growth revised up 26% from 7.8% and another big revision can’t be discounted today. However, underlying the multinational-related volatility, the domestic economy continues to recover strongly — most apparent in the fall in unemployment in recent quarters.
